Airport Transfer
You may take a taxi from the Airport Taxi Station for less than USD18 to most of the Congress hotels. Taxis are metered. To avoid confusionand over-charge, it is suggested to ask for receipt (pronounced as "FaPiao" in Chinese) from taxi driver.
Invitation Letter / Visa
You are required a visa to enter the People's Republic of China. Please check with your local Chinese embassy or consulate to obtain the necessary documents. Please allow enough time to process your visa. Visit http://www.fmprc.gov.cn/eng/3625/3628/ for further information on the visa process.
On request, the Chinese Medical Association is pleased to send an invitation for participation and a visa notice form in CIT 2013. Such an invitation is not a commitment on the part of the CIT to provide any financial support, nor is it a guarantee of the acceptance of an abstract, nor a guarantee that the consulate will issue the visa. While we are pleased to provide documentation of your registration to attend CIT, visa issuance is at the sole discretion of the consular officer. Letters of invitation and visa notice forms are sent to only those individuals who are registered to attend CIT 2013 and whose payments have been verified. To request an invitation letter and a visa notice form, please contact the CIT registration bureau. Information such as your passport number, citizenship and occupation must be provided otherwise the visa notice form is not valid.
Liability
The Congress is not responsible for airfare, hotel, or other costs incurred by participants in the event of program or registration cancellation.
Please note, in the event that the China Interventional Therapeutics 2013, also known as CIT 2013, is abbreviated or canceled because of circumstances beyond the Chinese Society of Cardiology and Chinese Medical Association's control, including, but not limited to, civil disturbance, earthquake, electrical outage, explosion, fire, freight embargo, strike or labor unrest, flood, hurricane, tornado or other acts of God, an act of war, terrorism, or the act of any government (de facto or de jure), or any government agency or official, the Chinese Society of Cardiology and Chinese Medical Association reserve the right, at the Chinese Society of Cardiology and Chinese Medical Association's sole discretion, to unilaterally terminate the Congress. In these circumstances, the registrant expressly agrees to waive any claim that he, she, or it may have against the Chinese Society of Cardiology and Chinese Medical Association for damages or compensation, including, but not limited to, fees for registration, housing, airfare, and/or incidental charges.
Credit Cards and Currency
Major credit cards like Master, Visa and American Express are acceptable in most big shopping centers and hotels. Major foreign currencies can be changed to the Chinese currency RMB at the airport, the Bank of China or hotels. American dollars can be changed into Chinese currency (RMB yuan) at a rate of about USD 1 to RMB 6.35 as of September 2013, but the exchange rate is subject to change.
Climate and Clothes
Late March is spring in Beijing, the golden season with an average temperature of 13.6 degrees Celsius (57 degrees Fahrenheit). Light cloths and a suit for formal occasions would be appropriate.

Telecommunications / Internet
Facilities such as IDD, fax and Internet are available in hotels.
Tipping
Except for some tour guides and hotel porters, no people in China expect tipping.
Electricity
The local voltage is 200-240 volts AC, 50 cycles. Transformers reducing the voltage to 110-120 volts, 60 cycles are available in some hotels.
